The AIA Connecticut Communications (formerly Public Relations) Committee has undertaken an initiative to provide publicity templates for our members’ use to promote their firms’ activities and news to the print and Internet media. The templates are guidelines that can be customized to announce your firm’s latest news. The categories include: Award(s) Received; Community Service Activity; Project(s) Completed-Retained; Employee Announcements; and Office Status Change. We believe it is especially important for small firms or sole practitioners to publicize their news which will help elevate a public understanding of the value of architectural services. Press Release templates are available to AIA Connecticut members upon request.
The PowerPoint presentation, Architecture One on One, is available to AIA Connecticut members to use for presentations to civic and municipal organizations for outreach and education purposes. Such speaking engagements are opportunities to reinforce the importance and value of architectural services as well as to enlighten the public about various aspects of the profession.
Architecture One on One is designed for personal customization to address the particular audience to whom you will be presenting. Within the template, there are particular slides that we ask remain unaltered. Other slides allow you to insert images of your choice. Architecture One on One is available in either a MS 2010 or ‘97/2003 version and can be emailed to you along with a User’s Guide.
