Tour of Grace Farms 365 Lukes Woods Road, New Canaan, CT Parking: Please park in the Lower Lot
1.5 HSW hours
Join us for a tour of the award winning Grace Farms in New Canaan, an 80-acre property owned and operated by the Grace Farms Foundation, which supports initiatives in the areas of nature, arts, justice, community, and faith, and encourages participation on a local, national, and global level. The Foundation carries out its work through publicly available facilities and integrated programs of Grace Farms, where individuals and not-for-profit organizations can come together to collaborate for good.
The building was designed by Design Architect SANAA Architects, Tokyo and Executive Architect Handel Architects, New York, resulting in a graceful project whose apparent simplicity belies complexity in sectional and structural planning. The project, which preserved a substantial piece of the Connecticut landscape for public and an unusual institutional use, was awarded an AIA Connecticut Design Award in 2016 and an AIA Honor Award in 2017.
Tours will be led by Grace Foundation docents and a representative of the Handel Architects project team.
We will gather at 3:30 pm in the River Building for tea and to begin the tour.
