Envelope Requirements and Compliance Documentation for the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code - Special Presentation Hotel Zero Degrees, 353 Main Avenue, Norwalk, CT
3 HSW hours
Thanks to the generosity of AIA Connecticut’s partner,
you are cordially invited to a special presentation of this AIA Connecticut program.
Presented by Fred Wajcs, PE.
The presentation will cover the envelope requirements of the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), adopted as a part of the State Building Code on October 1, 2016. Both residential and commercial requirements will be covered, with emphasis on residential requirements. Changes in numerical values from the 2009 IECC will be highlighted. The presentation will show how some architectural decisions will impose additional requirements on other design professionals. Sample compliance documentation will be included for the residential provisions and the commercial provisions. Compliance documents will facilitate the code compliance review process and could expedite permit application process. REScheck will be used as the example for the residential provisions. COMcheck and the AIA Connecticut sample compliance documents will be discussed in an example for the commercial provisions.
