Living and Building in Singapore, a Presentation by Richard Turlington, AIA, NCARB, RIBA
On Thursday, May 24, join us for wine, cheese, and a stimulating presentation by Richard Turlington on his experiences of construction in the Far East. From the shear travel time needed to get to the other side of the world to the lessons learned while building without gutters, constant environmental threats such as Dengue Fever, to air quality reaching dangerous levels requiring nationwide closures, and required screening above of all rooftop mechanical equipment, Richard ‘s experiences in a rapidly evolving vertical country are sure to be of interest.
Former President of the AIA Connecticut, Richard is Principal of Richard Turlington Architects Inc. in New Haven. Since 1992 he has been a technical consultant collaborating on projects with Fred Clarke and Cesar Pelli at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects, New Haven. Richard is licensed in Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Florida, and Hawaii.
