Hotel Marcel

CACX’22 will be held at Hotel Marcel in New Haven. Originally designed in 1967 by modernist architect Marcel Breuer, the building opened in 1970 as the Armstrong Rubber Building and was quickly recognized as a notable example of Brutalism.

Under the direction of lead architect and developer Bruce Becker, FAIA (Becker + Becker), the building was transformed into the country’s first Net Zero hotel in 2022. It was also designed to be the first hotel in the USA to achieve Passive House certification.
