Pets make an impact on families and lifestyle. They deserve a space just for them.

The AIA Connecticut Allied Advisory Knowledge Community has put together a
Pet Habitat Competition for 2021. Besides creating these structures, we are working with
Canine Companions for Independence to help sponsor and promote their program.

This competition takes place in two parts (more information and details below).

Step 1: Submit your pet habitat schematic drawing!

-Your design may be hand drawn or computerized, but it must be able to be published for the average pet owner to build. You will be asked to submit a list of materials with your design.

-Your design should be constructible, affordable, sophisticated, and made with mindful materials. *Bonus if your design includes a sustainable aspect!

-A jury will blind-judge all submissions and the top 3 designs will receive a gift card prize announced on June 2nd!

Step 2: Make your design a reality!

-Build will take place from June to August. Assistance in the form of materials will be available.

-Final pet habitats will be voted on through the AIA Connecticut website.

-The habitats with the most votes will be donated to Canine Companions for Independence!
