Darren Hobbs: Darren is the Deputy State Building Inspector, Office of the State Building Inspector, State of Connecticut
In addition to leading a team of code officials for state construction, elevator/escalator inspections and boiler certification, Darren Hobbs is also the lead staff member for the development of new Connecticut state building codes. He brings international experience as a code official in the United States and the United Kingdom, where he was also a national expert, government advisor and trainer on national and Europe-wide fire safety regulations
Mike Sinsigalli: Mike is the former assistant fire chief and the marshal for the West Hartford Fire Department. He also serves as a member of the State Codes and Standards Committee and as the Fire Marshal for the Town of Windsor Locks. In addition, he has served as the chair of the Northeast International Fire Code Work Group and several other committees for ICC including the IFC Interpretations Committee and the International Fire Code Committee. Chief Sinsigalli has also served on several NFPA Technical Committees including Educational and Day Care, Health Care Occupancies, and the Means of Egress, Safety to Life Committee. He has developed many code classes and instructs for the Connecticut Office of Education and Data Management and is a contract instructor for the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Sinsigalli is a Connecticut certified Fire Marshal and Assistant Building Official. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Safety Administration and a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Effectiveness and Leadership and holds an Executive Fire Officer through the National Fire Academy.
Henry Miga: Henry has been a Building Official since 1989 and works in Simsbury Connecticut. He has a Masters in Public Administration an is an ICC Master Code Professional. Henry has been a member of Ct Codes and Standards and has chaired that Committee. He has served on his towns Planning and Zoning Commission and chaired his towns Building Committee. He doesn’t consider himself as a risk taker even though he has ridden motorcycles since he was nine.
