AIA Connecticut’s benefits broker, Tzedekah House, is providing AIA CT members with defend-id’s Fully Managed Recovery (FMR) product for free.
defend-id is a Connecticut-based company focused on protecting identities and helping recover them when fraud is detected. FMR helps individuals who have been victims of identity theft. The service includes assistance with canceling and reissuing credit cards, restoring credit reports, contacting the appropriate authorities, and more. It’s considered fully managed because the recovery experts at defend-id manage the entire process from start to finish. The impacted individual does not need to do all of the legwork that’s involved.
If you are a victim of identity theft, call 800-487-0160. You must mention to the representative that you are an AIA CT member in order to take advantage of this benefit. Please note that you do not need to sign up for anything prior. You have been automatically “enrolled” into the program by paying your AIA CT dues for the year.

The two options, labeled Gold and Platinum, are available to individuals and families. Both options include credit monitoring with instant alerts, credit reporting and score trackers, lost document replacement, expense reimbursement coverage, a monthly newsletter, and more.
